"ON MY WAY BACK" is one man's musical journey from his start in theatre to his departure from it all five years ago due to a debilitating spinal condition. Now, one year after his life altering surgery, Christopher Sapienza is on his way back to pursuing his true passion of performing.
This musical jaunt brings together storytelling of his youth, his coming out, the trials and tribulations of relationships and his faith as well as the ultimate diagnosis of his spinal condition. With songs by various composers such as Jason Robert Brown, Pete Mills, Leonard and Martin, Menken and Ashman as well as John Bucchino, Chris takes a cabaret and brings it to the next level of a one-man show. Written by Beth Criscuolo and Christopher Sapienza, direction by Beth Criscuolo with musical arrangements by Vince Leonard, John Grecia (of The John Grecia Band) will be at the helm leading an ensemble of eight musicians from the Philadelphia region.
